Palate Play is the food and wine pairing partnership of Chef Sarah Freedman-Izquierdo,  and Sommelier Charlie Arturaola. Palate Play created an important culinary program for food enthusiasts at the new Miami Culinary Institute that is getting lots of attention among the Miami culinary circle. Sarah's creativity and extensive knowledge of International cuisine and specialty products, and Charlie's profound knowledge of wines make their partnership one of the most exciting exploration of the boundaries of  International food and wine pairing.

Sarah is an award-winning chef, chocolatier and specialty food trend authority. As a Miami Chef and Specialty Food Expert, Sarah's passion for food changed the way Miami ate, recognized internationally for pioneering hundreds of products, including raw milk cheeses, Greek yogurt and Pata Negra ham in the U.S. marketplace. She is frequently interviewed by national and international publications seeking her expertise.

With more than 25 years of wine service, world-renowned sommelier and educator, Charlie Arturaola can teach about every grape and wine. Charlie wants to enrich the lives of Miami Culinary Institute's enthusiasts by sharing his knowledge of wines and wine regions and his wine secrets and anecdotes. In Spain, Charlie co-authored a publication on wines. He also stars in the docudrama, The Ways of Wine, filmed in Mendoza vineyards in Argentina.

Sarah and Charlie will be heading the food and wine program at the "Toast Wine and Food Camp" Event, promoted by Toast of Humanity,  taking place April, 2012 in Rye Brook, New York
