“Poma Rosa” San Marzano Tomatoes are grown in the soils near Naples, Italy. The soil in this area is among the best in the entire country. The volcanic ash from nearby Mount Vesuvius, combined with the rich earth of the Apennine hills, has created a fertile terrain with very special physical and chemical qualities. The San Marzano area possesses an exclusive climate, and the beneficial influences of the pristine Mediterranean sea breeze, in collaboration with the sun, foster the growth of the San Marzano Tomato to germinate like a red ruby from the land.

The San Marzano Tomato exhibits unique characteristics such as “tutta polpa” (meatier pulp), a full-bodied tomato, elongated in shape, unequaled sweet taste, almost no seeds, and the only species of tomato in the world with two chambers. “Poma Rosa” San Marzano Tomatoes exemplify each one of these unique characteristics, and to ensure the quality of the label, each crop is carefully selected before it is packaged under our exclusive “Poma Rosa” brand.
